u-blox has refined its PointPerfect GNSS correction service by incorporating NTRIP (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) and SPARTN (Secure Positioning Augmentation for Real-Time Navigation) protocols. These enhancements aim to deliver centimeter-level accuracy, reliability, and cost-effectiveness for various high-precision applications such as autonomous vehicles, UAVs, and industrial automation.
NTRIP is a widely adopted protocol for multi-band GNSS RTK receivers. By integrating PointPerfect with NTRIP, u-blox offers its F9 customers a straightforward method to achieve centimeter-level accuracy using the necessary NTRIP protocol. This new version provides NTRIP delivery in SPARTN data format, ideal for u-blox positioning hardware.
A future version will support non-u-blox hardware with NTRIP delivery in RTCM data format.
