Update procedure
To update your device to the latest internal release, please use the '.swu' image to be downloaded from our Software Download page under Xsens Vision Navigator: https://www.xsens.com/support/software-documentation
For the installation guidelines, please follow the steps detailed here. Before updating, we recommend saving a backup of your configuration using the “Backup and Restore” option in the web interface (System > Tools) or the API. Generally, the configuration will be maintained when updating from any official release, like 2.102.7, except for the Fusion Autostart configuration. This will be "disabled" for all devices upon updating.
If you were using any other special firmware, such as a beta firmware, or if your configuration contained faulty contents, some sections of the configurations will be reset to default.
Before deploying the update to your fleet, we recommend updating a few dev sensors first and performing some testing to ensure smooth compatibility with your systems and assessing any new features you would like to integrate or consider as part of your pipeline. Additionally, you can save the configuration of the testing device as a backup. Downgrading the firmware is no longer recommended. If needed, please contact us for guidance.
