Xsens: Dual Antenna RTK GNSS/INS for Rugged and OEM Applications
Xsens has expanded its navigation portfolio with two new Dual Antenna RTK GNSS/INS products: Xsens Sirius Dual Antenna and Xsens Avior Dual Antenna. Both combine a dual-antenna u-blox ZED-X20D GNSS receiver with Xsens sensor fusion to deliver true heading, centimeter-level RTK positioning, and integrated heave, without depending on magnetic measurements or platform motion. The two products share the same core navigation performance but target different integration models: Sirius as a rugged, enclosed, ready-to-install unit, and Avior as a compact OEM module for deep embedded integration.
The key benefit of a dual-antenna GNSS/INS over a single-antenna system is the ability to derive true heading directly from the GNSS antenna baseline, rather than from magnetometers or vehicle motion. This matters most for platforms that:
