Trasna has launched the Adam-R11, a new LTE Cat 1bis module designed for IoT applications with medium data rates, global or regional coverage, and efficient power consumption.
The Adam-R11 module features a compact 18 x 18 x 2.2 mm footprint in LGA design, pin-compatible with the Lexi series for scalable product development. It supports LTE Cat 1bis connectivity with downlink speeds up to 10 Mbps and uplink up to 5 Mbps across a broad range of LTE FDD and TDD bands.
Key features include:
- Hybrid Positioning: Integrated Wi-Fi scanning for indoor/outdoor tracking, with optional CellLocate integration.
- Energy Efficiency: eDRX, PSM, and deep-sleep modes to extend battery life in battery-powered applications.
- eSIM Option: Optional embedded eSIM for seamless out-of-the-box connectivity, compliant with GSMA SGP.32 for IoT Remote SIM Provisioning.
- Security and Reliability: Secure boot, TLS 1.3, firmware updates via UART, USB, or FOTA, and durability in industrial environments from -40 °C to +85 °C.
- Interfaces: Dual UART, USB, 10 GPIOs, and support for 1.8 V/3.0 V SIM cards with toolkit functions.
- Software Stack: Rich protocols including MQTT, HTTP, FTP, TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4/IPv6, and Bearer Independent Protocol.
- Global/Regional Variants: Certified for global, EMEA, APAC, and Brazil deployments with approvals such as FCC, ISED, RED, NCC, and Anatel.
