Kemet: YAGEO Group added Extensions to its X7R Automotive MLCCs product portfolio
Our partner YAGEO Group is pleased to expand their Surface Mount Multilayer Ceramic Capacitor (SMD MLCC) portfolio with the introduction of new high-capacitance (HiCV) values in X7R dielectric, Automotive Grade. These new components meet the same high-performance quality standards as YAGEO's ceramic capacitors, delivering long service life, enhanced reliability, and non-polarized design for easier component placement. X7R dielectric capacitors are well suited for bypass and decoupling applications, as well as for frequency-selective circuits where high Q and tight capacitance stability are not essential.
YAGEOS’s X7R dielectric capacitors support a maximum operating temperature of 125 °C and are classified as temperature stable. They provide predictable capacitance variation over time and voltage, along with minimal capacitance change due to ambient temperature. The capacitance variation remains within ±15% across the temperature range from −55 °C to +125 °C

Main Features
The Automotive-grade MLCCs from YAGEO Group are widely used for decoupling, bypassing, and filtering in power and control electronics. They are well suited for resonant power stages and timing circuits, particularly when using C0G/U2J dielectrics. In under-the-hood power electronics as well as in EV and HEV systems, they are valued for their high-temperature capability and long-term stability. Specialized designs enable their use in high ripple current or high-voltage snubber and converter applications. In addition, they provide effective EMI suppression and stable filtering to support high audio and video signal quality.
Target Applications include, for example Vehicle Electrification, Fast charging / Wireless charging, Wide Bandgap Semiconductors (WBG), Safety/ADAS and Connected/Shared, 5G,V2X.
