Honeywell: Honeywell Announces The New CSNV700 And CSHV Current Sensors For Electric Vehicles
Files
Honeywell is pleased to announce new Current Sensors including the CSNV700 and CSHV Series, for use in electric vehicles. The CSNV700 and CSHV Series are automotive-grade current sensors for battery management systems (BMS), battery disconnect units (BDU) and power distribution units (PDU) in electric vehicles.
The CSNV700 and CSHV Series are non-intrusive and electrically isolated from the monitored circuit. This ensures a simple and reliable structure without loss of power to the monitored circuit. Honeywell leveraged its 40 years of experience designing sensors and switches for transportation vehicles to deliver on performance and reliability. They are calibrated and temperature compensated for improved accuracy using multi-point temperature characterization. These current sensors are designed to communicate using CAN communication protocol, allowing ease of integration for design engineers.
In electric vehicles, accurate current sensors are required for safety and performance. For more detailed technical information, please contact your Honeywell representative.

About CSNV700 Current Sensor
The CSNV700 Series are advanced flux gate current sensors rated for a primary current measurement range of ±700 A dc. It has a very low Zero Offset current of 0.05A. It is temperature compensated and delivers an accuracy of 0.5% over the operating temperature range. It incorporates AEC-Q100 qualified integrated circuits to meet higher quality and reliability requirements. It has an optimized magnetic circuit that allows excellent performance in diverse magnetic environments, provding engineers more flexibility in their design. The CSNV700 Series can be customized per customer request to meet application needs.
About CSHV Current Sensor
The CSHV Series are open loop current sensors that use Hall-effect sensing and patented Honeywell technology to deliver on accuracy and performance. They are rated for a primary current measurement range of ±100 A to ±1500 A dc. The open loop design allows a fast response of 6 µs for fault isolation applications. It is a cost-effective current sensor for battery management systems. The CSHV Series can be customized per customer request to meet application needs.
