Supported Wireless Technologies
The XBee family covers a diverse range of wireless protocols tailored to different ranges, topologies, and application scenarios. Operating in the globally deployable 2.4 GHz band, it supports technologies such as Zigbee 3.0, IEEE 802.15.4, and DigiMesh®. These enable mesh networks for reliable, self-healing connections. Zigbee is particularly well-suited for interoperable systems in building automation and smart lighting, while 802.15.4 is used for point-to-multipoint communication. DigiMesh offers peer-to-peer networks without a central coordinator, ideal for remote monitoring.
