Evaluation kit for NORA-B2 stand-alone modules with Bluetooth LE 6.0 long range, NFC, and Thread/Zigbee
- All NORA-B2 module pins are available at connectors
- Can be powered through USB, external power supply, or coin cell battery
- Has onboard debugger hardware and firmware
- Open CPU with nRF Connect SDK or pre-flashed with u-connectXpress software
All features of the NORA-B2 module are easily accessed from the evaluation board. Four user buttons are available, as well as a user RGB LED, 64 Mbit external flash memory, and a reset button. All GPIO signals are available on the two mikroBUS™ form factor compatible sockets, or the 2.54 mm pitch holes/headers. This allows easy use of mikroBUS™ add-on boards. I2C sensors can be connected via the Qwiic system connector. A current sense header is provided for measuring current into the module.
A USB connection provides power and virtual COM ports. The board can also be powered from an external supply or a coin cell battery. Programming and debugging over SWD is done either with external debugger or with the on-board debugger chip.
The EVK supports evaluation of both the embedded antenna as well as an external antenna of choice. There is also a variant for u‑connectXpress software (NORA-B26x and NORA-B276).
